Super Summer Adventure

Super Summer Adventure is my church's version of Vacation Bible School. Today we completed our week of crafts, Bible lessons, snacks, games, and fun.



I'm pooped...worn out...exhausted...wiped out...tired...and happy!!



What a precious group of children. My favorite new friend is Quandre. He is a delight. Everyday, he walked into our room and lit it up. He shone brightly with enthusiasm and friendliness and just plain joy.



Would I have met Quandre under any other circumstances? Probably not.

Would I have sought him out in a crowd? Probably not.

Does he look like me or my family? Not particularly.

Does he go to school with my children or attend my church? No.



But that is the beauty of God working in our lives. He brings people to us that we need. People we need to refine us. People we need to enjoy. People we need to serve. People we need to encourage. People we don't normally "hang with".



Thank You, God, for Quandre and thank You for bringing him to me this week at Super Summer Adventure. I needed him and You knew that.
